I often think of people who excel in their field, who give so much that they embody their profession. The icons and legends forged through a need to be the very best that they can be. They are the doers, the ones who push boundaries and become inspiring.
I often think of Ayrton Senna. A man who embodied the spirit of driving, when asked if he felt he was dangerous in taking risks, he passionately replied ‘If you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver’
Gifted with a natural talent, the man was born to drive, but this isn’t what made him great, it was the drive he had which pushed him forward and brought him success. It’s always the ones who give more when others give up that we remember.
At the school, before we respond to a brief we are encouraged to work out what our gauge of success would be. I think my gauge of success for this course would be if I could learn, and use that to help others in someway, the best ones do and I will achieve this through hard work, because success is a sign that you are passionate and you don’t give up.
Rosie said in an earlier blog ‘be like swans’ but I say be like Senna.
