I walk amongst giants

In the shortest time, I’ve taken on more information than I actually thought possible. Overload, is the first simple word that springs to my well nourished mind.

Last week kicked off the assault on all my perspectives, everything I had come to learn before this point was brought into question, or at least highlighted with a good dose of critical thinking.

I had my mind opened, cleared and prepared to absorb new information.

This week, the information was given to us like a ton of bricks.

Although exhaustive and exhausting, it was a great pleasure to receive master classes from two extremely knowledgeable and inspiring gurus, Mark Palmer and Patrick Collister.

Both gave a wealth of wisdom that showed us different ways to think, to question questioning, to create problems, conflicting concepts, processing processes and imagining ideas. To then apply this new understanding to our work, our thoughts and even to our lives.

The amount of information is just unbelievable, but yet, I took it in, and had a new realisation every few minutes.

To learn from these mentors is to see the world from a new height, I look up at these inspiring figures and see giants of knowledge and experience, but I can look down at how far I have come and see that the world is quickly looking smaller and smaller.

After just over a week at the school, learning from the mentors, the other students and the people I have met in London, I have grown to heights I didn’t think were possible, I know very soon, I will scale the highest peaks that are in my path.

I feel honoured not only to be in the company of such great minds, but to also have the privilege of learning from their vast experience. I walk with these giants everyday, and continue to aspire to reach their height.
