Unit Purpose and Aims

The purpose of this unit is to ;

In this unit learners will discover what the key dangers are that small and new businesses need to look out for. The learner will also be asked to plan contingencies against these fail factors.

Learning Outcomes

Learners will;

1. Understand the key reasons that cause start ups to  fail

Learners can;

1.1 Explain the common causes for most start up businesses failing’

1.2 Critically compare and contrast these causes with those that lead to established businesses failing

2. Be able to prepare and plan contingencies against these factors

2.1 Develop a plan setting out contingency measures for each of the common causes of business failure.
