Ok so sometimes we might do things to subconsciously impress other people. I was dating someone who made music and in lockdown, having limited options of things to do. Along with the banana bread, I decided to start writing things, lyrics, downloaded garageband on my phone and I made a song. I then played the song to my boyfriend at the time, who didn’t believe I made it, thought someone else had produced it (love his belief in my musical abilities). This made me realise that actually, when we put our mind to things, even if initially it might just be to impress someone else, we’re very capable and you will end up impressing yourself. So from me to you, you’ve got it. You can make a song, do whatever you want to do.
