Crap at school and unlucky in love. 

 

I couldn’t sleep last night so naturally I thought it would be a great idea to type in my date of birth and find out what my star sign was going to bring me in 2020. 

I went in open minded, hoping to find that I am going to be lucky in love, money and career. Oh no, quite the opposite. 

‘Due to weak foundation, Sagittarius students may find it is hard to catch up with others, and it may let them down and lose self-confidence. Compared with others, Sagittarius students are not that gifted in studying.’ 

Not that gifted in studying. Exactly what I need two nights before I go back to SCA. 

‘I’m better than that’, I thought. There must be some hope for my future self. 

‘As for Sagittarius love horoscope in 2020, it is not ideal and it may be difficult for them to meet the right person.’ 

It is not ideal. No, it really isn’t ideal. 

Don’t get me wrong, I do feel I am a true Sagittarius. Always looking for better, very independent and free spirited but I definitely found myself doubting if I should be believing all of this. 

So, obviously. I did some more digging. 

There is so much you can find out about how the stars and planets were aligned when you were born and how this can affect your characteristics. I did have to stop myself from buying a $25 report which was going to give me all the secrets I would need for a happy life. Luckily, I am not that delusional. 

Jokes aside, many of us do love the thought of your future being written in the stars but that isn’t the case. So, how can I go into this year putting myself and others in the best position possible to smash the year? 

Here are some of my top tips to help you be more positive: 

  1. Drink more water. 

You get grumpy and tend to snap more when you don’t drink water. It also helps improve your skin and overall wellbeing. 

  1. Achieve something everyday. 

One of the best feelings is going to bed and knowing you have achieved something that day. Even if it is something small such as changing your sheets. Just do it, we all need that little boost. 

  1. Tell a mate you love them. 

Who doesn’t like knowing they’re loved? So do something for a pal and remind them how much they mean to you. 

  1. Listen to your body. 

I believe about listening to your heart, head and gut. What is it telling you to do? Being in tune with yourself is a very powerful force. 

  1. Wear more colour. 

I love an all-black outfit, but wearing colour makes me feel alive. There are phycological studies into the correlation of our moods with regards to the amount of colour we wear. Unsurprisingly the more colour you wear, the better we feel. So shove on that yellow jumper. 

Let’s make 2020 the best so far. F*ck what the stars say (sometimes).
