May 2020 SCA Round-up – SCA is Online!

SCA is now online! – Join us in our virtual studio!

Since closing our physical studio doors in March in preparation for lockdown, SCA has opened up a virtual studio!

We’re excited to introduce to you our virtual studio platform on Walkabout where we’re constantly sharing ideas, briefs, masterclasses with our faculty and visiting mentors. We’ve even invited back alumni from John & HUSH to work on our briefs this year!

To name a few, we currently have Alex Bottner in who’s looking for her creative soulmate, Sophie Becker who’s trying her hand at being a single and Andy & Zoe who are aiming to leave with a perfect portfolio.

If you’d be interested in coming back to SCA to work on some briefs and get your book in top shape for post-COVID, contact Max, Marcia or Amy to find out more details

We’re also welcoming any guest visitors to mentor in our virtual studio! Get in touch with the SCA office with info@schoolcommunicationarts.com if you’d be interested in offering book crits or discussing ideas with our students

To celebrate our new virtual platform, our students have put together a video to show you what our virtual studio is like. Enjoy!

Credits to Marley Muirhead & the cast of KRAK intake for their hard work in putting this video together.

Introducing SCA’s Online Short Courses!

The School of Communication Arts is now launching our first online courses! After 10 years of nurturing creative talent in Brixton, SCA has decided to branch out to offering the brilliant minds of our faculty to students outside of London.

Kicking off the launch of our short courses in June with our Creative Strategy course, taught by our brilliant in-house mentor Uri Baruchin, supported by Patrick Collister & John Lowery.

To celebrate the launch of our first online course, we’d like to invite you to join us for Uri’s free masterclass on Friday May 15th between 9:30am and 10:30am.

Welcome to Richard Russell!

We’re also excited to welcome Richard Russell to the SCA team!

From this May, we’re thrilled to add Richard to our team of in-house mentors to help us craft brilliant copywriting and share his experience as a Creative Director.
