Wrapped! (Almost)

How is it the final week of first term already? Collectively BOAT agency has been flat out since September and is ready to sail home and chill for Christmas. With COVID making a resurgence as Omicron, many sailors have reunited with family a week earlier than expected. We are all effectively online for the time being and SCA is equipped to ensure all students get the most out of learning, anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

Before I can let my afro down for two and half weeks, my partners and I have got some live briefs to deliver. We’ve been sworn to secrecy but I can say we are working with two of our sponsor agencies who represent household names that are embedded in British and global culture.

As someone new to the world of advertising it’s exciting to engage with brands I’ve grown up with, but now as a creative. There have been briefs that I’ve enjoyed working on for this reason. With being a fan of a product I can see opportunities as to how they can effectively scale their communication. SCA is pushing me to approach this in a way that is supported by research, is original, and looks worthy of being awarded or at least framed.

My brain has been pumped with so much information the past three months, so as much as I love the thought of bumming out over Christmas, it’s not within me. And I’m sure that the majority of BOAT will be supplementing their festive family season with researching the industry greats, squirreling insights, improving their craft, and creating topicals.

Wishing everyone a blessed one! by @thisisyem
