Believe it or not, it doesn’t take a Picasso, a Van Gogh, or a Lowry to draw; 

You can do it, I can do it, even children with a pencil or two;

What people like me don’t realise is lines and circles don’t need to be perfect;

Just put the shapes together in a certain order to make your communication clear.

These were the wise words of Rob MacGillivray in his storyboarding class;

Now no longer am I an anxious mess when drawing out a TV ad;

Yes my characters may look odd, but you’ll get the general gist;

And you’ll be able to follow the twisting plot on my yellow post it notes;

So thanks Rob for the confidence boost, I’m not in need of an eye for drawing;

Just get the basics out on the page and the art director can take it from there.
