Let’s become kids again

I always thought that age is nothing but a number. But as I was sitting on the top of Poul Grenes’ Pyramid at Louisiana Museum of Modern art, I saw a little girl jumping down the stairs of the pyramid at full speed, taking them two by two with both feet.
My tour arrived then, I looked at the heights in front of me and at this moment, I realized I wasn’t has kid anymore.

What I miss the most in being a kid is being fearless.
Today I have too way many fears. The fear of jumping down the pyramid at full speed. The fear of becoming an old person. The fear of disappointing people. The fear of not understanding British jokes. The fear of becoming crazy. The fear of not finishing the reading list before THE start. The fear of not finding what’s « my thing », what I’m really good at. The fear of being unhappy,…

Sometimes, I wish I could be a kid again, or at least regain those things that make the children happier than the adults.

What if the recipe of happiness was really simple ? Here is the to-do list for you and I to become happy grown-up kids !
— Get rid of your fear. Take a deep breath and get down of that fucking pyramid (sorry Poul)
— Laugh often. Laugh long. Laugh loud.
— Never loose the desire to learn.
— Enjoy simple moments, realize that every simple thing is a miracle. Be amazed.
— Give 100% of yourself every time you do something. As grown-ups, we always have plenty of things to do, sometimes we’re not fully involved in what we are doing. Don’t just give a piece of your attention, give it all of it.

“All grown-ups were once children… but only few of them remember it.”
— Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
