Pennies to the floor – By @mustjames
By James Mustoe
Pennies to the floor
A curtain to divide who’s willing to pay more
Know what’s right but it’s too easy to walk away
A name and face to hide who’s willing to say no more
A cowardly lion but this one ain’t seeing the wizard today Know who’s to blame but just won’t stand up and say
A hand to blind the eyes throughout the day
Music to block the cries and keep your mind occupied
A black book to write the lies as the sun fades away
One man’s change is another’s means to survive
Bolt the door to the world close outside
Mankind on the floor but eyes don’t see him anymore The pound is mightier then the sword
A man’s kind is throwing pennies to the floor.
