Welcome Chaos

So I’m submitting this first SCAB slightly earlier than planned. My MO would be to do it on the last night before it’s due, full panic mode at 3am, but I’m off to Belgium for a rock music festival tomorrow (gonna see Avril Lavigne the queen), and I think doing the work early is just about more appealing than doing it on a 3-day compound hangover.

It’s looking like a busy summer though – I’ve got the music festival, then in August I’m off to Edinburgh for the Fringe, so I gotta spend July prepping/writing for that. Side note / shameless plug – If you’re up there at any point come say hi! We have free iced coffee at our show.

Anyway, other than that I got various little temp jobs, plus trying to see friends, exercise, and now on top of all that I have to learn how to juggle 5 eggs, so cheers for that.

Nah, I’m sure the stress will come, but at the moment I actually like having all that to do, excited for all of it to kick off. I hate too much stillness in general, I thrive when I have a lot to do, and for the the last year I’ve been a little stagnant. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I’m definitely looking forward to having too much on my plate again – to having to juggle 20 different deadlines, learn about things I’m genuinely interested in, learn new skills, attempt to keep old hobbies, stupidly try to start new ones, meet everyone, forget everyone’s names, relearn everyone’s names – ahh it’s gonna be great fun.

So I’ve got a plan for how to go about doing everything I need to this summer, and I fully expect that plan to go off the rails, but I think this next year is the year to embrace the chaos, to lean into it and just do everything I can do and more. Very cheesy stuff.
