Bad Strategy is not your Friend

His banter is a buzz word sloganHe talks the talk but is a terrible map readerHe can’t bring himself to face factsIf he could find themHe is the opposite of doing what needs to be done firstHis very indecision, a failure of his own choosingHe builds the wrong house on shifting sandsAnd always looks out the same, upstairs windowHe pleases no one and panders to allHe keeps conflicting demands happyHe labels his suitcase and packs it ‘pell mell’Busy boasting who he’ll shag as the flight leaves without himHe overcommits and under deliversHe wouldn’t know an obstacle clambering over itHe’ll change his life then make the same mistakesHe never knows when to cut his nose to save his faceHe rode in on an elephant in the roomLike a coach and horses through the blooming obviousHe is a lightweight and packs no punchAnd that’s without the fluff paddingHe is a solution looking for a problemAs one door opens, he jumps out a windowHe always seems to make things worseA north star behind a bank of cloudHe is impatient and tries to force the momentHe never learns to say noHe never thinks ‘Is this part of the plan?’He doesn’t like to stand above the parapetHe is always right in his preconceptionsHe lacks empathy for others’ perspectivesHe follows the herd and feels their instinctHis naivety sees no hands at playHe boasts of tackling problems head onHe is what he says, not what he doesHe waits for the right conditions to happenHe doesn’t like to overthink itHe over complicates all simplicityHe is anything but realisticHe echo chambers the murmuring problemNever questioning ‘Is it worth all the effort?'He always has 101 things to doNot what needs be done to make that happenHe believes in honour amongst thievesWhile wanting guarantees for everything he doesHe is your regular ‘no but’ guyHe can’t smell his own behindHe lives in the now, not in a good wayPeople who think differently really scare himHis fear of change always stays the sameHe fails to build from his strengths upAsks never if he caused this problem in the first placeHis worst fears are his worst assumptions

He masquerades like a big imposterHe is internal contradiction outside its comfort zoneHe asks all the wrong questions of all the wrong people

A bunker mentality, at work in a silo
