Reli-ability, Cred-ability, Predict-ability, Avail-ability.
These are the machine traits now. They’re baked into every AI tool worth its code.
Fiverr’s CEO just dropped a truth-bomb on its entire community (see images) in an email saying, “It doesn't matter if you are a programmer, designer, product manager, data scientist, lawyer, customer support, salesperson or a finance person - AI is coming for you.”
Meanwhile, WPP just launched its Production Studio, a £250 million monster built with NVIDIA and 28,000 AI agents. It’s fast, polished, multilingual, platform-perfect.
And that’s fine. That’s the future of tasks. Let’s hope someone sorts out the water/energy costs, but that’s not what this post is about.
We’re not here to perform tasks. We’re here to make a difference.
If AI is winning on reliability, credibility (increasingly, and worryingly), predictability and availability, our edge — our responsibility — is to double down on being human.
That starts with four other -abilities:
Relatability
Computers can’t do insight. Not yet. They don’t understand what it feels like to have a second child, or be the youngest one. Or the eldest. Or the only one. But you do. And it gives you insights.
Imagine what others you’ve got, that Musk and Altman will never know…
I posted recently on Jung’s “Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.” I say, “Who does both, creates.”
You can do that. Machines can’t.
Vulnerability
At school, we run WIPs — Work In Progress sessions — where students share half-baked ideas and watch them get kicked – into shape, or out-of-mind to create space for new ideas.
It’s brutal. And brilliant.
Because standing up and saying, “This isn’t finished, but here it is” — that’s real courage.
Machines don’t feel fear, shame, or the sting of silence.
But you do. And it makes you stronger.
Vulnerability isn’t weakness. It’s where creative resilience is born.
AI doesn’t risk anything.
You do.
Ever noticed how AI keeps making the same mistakes.
When you’re at your most creative,
you don’t.
Sensibility
Some things just feel right. The turn of a phrase. The pause before a punchline. The look in someone’s eye that says, “Don’t.”
You don’t learn that from a manual — you sense it.
It’s not science. It’s taste. It’s trained over time, by consuming, digesting, producing, repeating, consuming.
“Ah, but that’s where AI wins”, you might be thinking, “because they learn quickly and have their datasets.”
True, but they don't have taste. Or a weird taste. They don’t have your taste. They have the same datasets that everyone else has.
But you’ve got something weird about you.

Unpredictability
AI is built to be consistent. It’s a very smart accountant in a fancy suit. I can see why marketers are attracted to the safe returns, protecting their fragile jobs.
Creativity isn’t a smart accountant in a fancy suit. Not that there’s anything wrong with suits — Louis from this year’s intake wears one and he’s brilliantly creative.
But creativity is messy. Mad. Sometimes even wrong on purpose.
Your weirdness, acknowledged above, unlocks weird connections — the ones you can’t even explain — and that’s where gold lives.
That late-night idea. That shower thought. That twist no one saw coming.
That’s unpredictability.
AI can’t experience those late-night, shower-thought ideas.
You can.
So yes, AI gives us all the reliable, scalable, always-on tools.
But what we do with them — that’s the test.
The ones who thrive in a post-AI world will be those who stay brave, stay strange, and stay in tune with their humanity.
